Music has always been a big part of my life.  I grew up listening to country music, along with Elton John.  At around the age of 8 or so, I decided to take piano lessons.  It lasted for about a week before I got bored.  Around this time, I started listening to heavier stuff.  It started out with punk, and eventually moved to heavy metal.  At roughly the age of 12 or 13, I decided to pick up playing guitar.  I've been playing guitar ever since, and even have a "one man band" called "A State of War."

Being around other musicians has enabled me learn more and more about music.  My perspective is completely different from what it used to be all those years ago.  Thanks to my peers, I can play most stringed instruments, along with the drums, simply by relating it to my guitar and music knowledge.

My music involves more exotic scales and modes due to my influence in both Japanese culture and fellow musicians who are influenced by Japanese music, as well.  It also includes elements of classical, melodic death metal, and progressive rock/metal.  My most influential guitar heroes are Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, and Jason Becker.
